Hello Dear Folks!
After some intense days, the Challenge 1 Reference eBook is READY! Click here for the Etsy shop! Latin Buoy! Please note that I made some changes to the layout in order to accommodate the wealth of information included. The document is now to be printed TWO-SIDED. This will give the Verb pages a nice full 2-page spread to accommodate terms and conjugation charts.
Full description below:
The Challenge 1 Reference Book will contain all of the vocabulary covered throughout the 2017-18 school year. In total, there are 31 pages of content contained in this eBook. There are blank pages built in (so page number actually higher than 31). The document should be printed 2-sided. This will allow for the verb pages to have the correct 2-page layout spread.
Each noun is listed its declension, color coded by gender, and defined. The Declension endings are on each page for quick reference. Additionally, the Latin stems run along the right hand margin so you can flip to just the edge of each page to find the word if it has not yet been committed to memory by declension.
Second Declension is divided into two separate pages. One for masculine (-us in the Nominative) and the other for neuter (-um in the Nominative).
Third Declension is divided into three separate pages. There are two sheets for the masculine and feminine that are divided by the Genitive Plural endings (-um and -ium). The third sheet is for the neuter nouns of the Third Declension.
Challenge 1 includes an Irregular Noun page.
Adjectives are listed among four pages separating the 1st/2nd Declensions from the 3rd Declensions and includes Possessive Adjectives (which follow 1st/2nd endings). The third page includes Irregular Adjectives. The fourth page (which will print on the backside of Irregular Adjectives includes Comparative and Superlative information).
Adverbs have their own page.
Each Verb Conjugation will have two pages. The first page which will print on the back side of the proceeding page (to be the left hand side of the layout) contains the vocabulary, translation, and the verbs Principal Parts. The second page (right hand side of the layout) includes the conjugation charts – Active/Indicative &Subjunctive, Infinitive/Active & Passive, Imperative Endings and how to convert Active to Passive. There is an additional 3rd Conjugation Sheet to separate the -io verbs of that conjugation. There are two sheets for Irregular Verbs with notes on Primary/Secondary Tenses on the back side of the last one.
There is a Prepositions and Conjunctions sheet followed by Numerals and Other Parts of Speech.
Finally, there are two Pronouns pages.
Print DOUBLE Sided
3-hole punch and place in a simple pocket folder
Use 1″ Self Adhesive Tabs to tab each section (i.e. Nouns, Verbs, Pronouns, Adjectives, Adverbs, Other)
I printed on 20lb paper with an ink jet and I experienced some fade-through with the two-sided pages. It may be wise to use a slightly heavier weight paper or a laser printer.
*Please note that I have not completed all exercises for the Challenge 1 year. Therefore, there may be some slight adjustments. If I find a more intuitive way to lay the information out or information that needs adjusted, I will send out updated PDFs. If you ever find any inaccuracies, please be sure to notify me and I can look into it.
